China's Huawei Technologies revealed on January 15 that it has been selected by Scandinavian TeliaSonera for the telecom's commercial LTE (Long Term Evolution) network deployment in the Norwegian capital Oslo, Nikkei Electronics Asia reported. As per the agreement, Huawei will deliver an end-to-end LTE solution consisting of base stations, core network, and operating support system, as well as services including network design, implementation, system integration, and support.

TeliaSonera has a strong presence in the Scandinavian and Baltic telecommunications markets. Prior to the Huawei deal, TeliaSonera has chosen Ericsson for the deployment of another LTE network in Stockholm, Sweden.
